These workbooks provide
supplemental lessons to the third grade curriculum in preparation for the NJ
ASK3 and a review of the principal skill areas of the NJ Core Curriculum
Standards for grade 3. NJ ASK3 Success in Language Arts Literacy contains reading passages, both narrative and informational text, with multiple-choice and open-ended questions, semantic maps and Venn diagrams. The writing section has examples of a variety of prompts (picture, poem) to practice essay writing skills. A full-length practice test gives students a chance to work in a simulated test environment. The Teacher's Guide includes a description of the test, answer key, explanations and instructions on how to use the holistic scoring rubric for open-ended and essay type answers. |
