This workbook presents a step-by-step
approach to reading comprehension and sustained writing ability as
described in the New Jersey core curriculum standards for grade 3.
The book includes two full-length, simulated tests, which can be
used as pre- and post-tests to gauge a student's progress. In
addition to the diagnostic practice tests, there are skill-building
exercises for narrative and informational reading as well as
speculative writing prompts. Also included is a vocabulary list of
language arts terms.
The Teacher's Guide includes a
description of the test, answer key, explanations and solutions, and
instructions on how to use the holistic scoring rubric to grade
