SAT and ACT
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is taken by the candidates who want to join the US
universities for their graduation. It is designed to test your basic aptitude in
reasoning and writing skills. The SAT exam is administered by the US College Board
Corporation.
The ACT (American College Testing) is a national college admissions examination
that consists of subject area tests in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science.
ACT results are accepted by all 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S.

NJ ASK and HSPA
Federal expectation is that each state will provide tests that are grounded in that
state’s content standards and that assess students’ critical thinking skills in
grade 3 through 8 in three content areas: language arts literacy, mathematics and
science.
The New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (ASK) as well as the
High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) is used to determine student achievement
as specified in the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.
