The Frog Inside-Out Video Series

       A two-part video course for students to use as an alternative to frog dissection or as a foundation for learning dissection procedures. Ideal for either middle or high school science classes. (VHS or DVD)

       Part I explains anatomical terms in simple, graphic format and shows how the frog adapts to its specific habitat. The video relates structure to function and anatomy to habitat, explaining everything from the frog's ability to jump long distances and camouflage itself to why the tongue is shaped a certain way. Students will learn to compare the frog's physical structure to the structure of the human body. (28 minutes)

       Part II details all major external/internal organs, uses micrographs, and leads the view through an actual frog dissection, using diagrams and pictures. This video consists of a thorough discussion of all the major organs and systems of the frog. (40 minutes)
